THE HENRY MURRAY STAGE

ABOUT THE PLAY
Note from our Executive Producer Jean Craig:
A long time ago, in Oklahoma City, when I was a sophomore in high school, I joined the Drama Club. By the time I was a senior, I had played Emily in Our Town. In college, I took Shakespeare and Aristotle’s Poetics. I studied the works of Arthur Miller and Tennessee Williams. I played a daffy, brassy housemaid named Toinette, a lead character in Moliere’s The Imaginary Invalid. My performance astonished my teachers, my classmates, and even my Mother who famously said, “I didn’t know you had it in you."
In my professional life I’ve been a writer but have never lost the love for theater. I am so grateful to have found Rogue Machine and to have, rather late in life, the resources to support it.
Every play I’ve seen over sixteen years, including those few that were not a critical or box office success, have enriched the actors, the production staff, the audience, the community, an art form that goes back to the Greeks, and me.
Thank you, Rogue Machine.
