HERE IN AMERICA is a new play by David Edgar, the author of the Tony-winning NICHOLAS NICKELBY among many others.  It is about a momentous meeting between Arthur Miller and Elia Kazan about whether Kazan or Miller should name names before the infamous House UnAmerican Affairs Committee. 

 

It asks the question what happens when two friends and collaborators -- giants of the theatre and film world -- fall out over ideology?  Kazan's wife Day and Marilyn Monroe influence the struggle about how and if friendship and creative partnership can survive in a hostile political world.
